about.
Epilepsy in dogs poses significant challenges for many dog owners — my own family has been directly affected for several years. Daily life is shaped by medication schedules, strict routines, and constant attentiveness.
Based on this personal experience, this project explores the design of a digital support tool for dog owners affected by canine epilepsy, with a focus on UI and interaction design.

challenge.
Living with canine epilepsy requires constant attention, strict routines, and precise documentation. Existing solutions are often fragmented, overly complex, or not tailored to the emotional and practical realities of dog owners.
The main challenge was to design an interface that balances medical accuracy with everyday usability — reducing cognitive load during stressful situations while still enabling reliable data tracking. The app needed to be intuitive, calm, and trustworthy, especially in moments of high emotional strain.

results.
A functional, clickable prototype that supports users in documenting seizures, managing medications, and storing health data in a structured way.
Through a clear information hierarchy, intuitive interactions, and custom illustrations, Epidog provides a calm and supportive user experience. The design process was informed by interviews with affected dog owners, research, personas, and user flows, ensuring that the solution is grounded in real needs and daily practices.
